The new feature enables users to search more than 160 million non-patent literature documents directly alongside patent data, enabling faster, more complete prior art analysis in a single workflow.

Historically, identifying relevant non-patent literature has required researchers to navigate a fragmented ecosystem of tools, switching between patent databases, academic search engines, keyword-based platforms, and publisher websites. This disjointed process has made prior art research time-consuming and error-prone, often increasing the risk that critical references are missed.
